IC; pre-intro for Ruby
[it's rare that Sam lets himself vent off frustrations, and it's doubtful he's doing that as he slips deeper into the wooded area. but there's a gun in his hand all the same, a serious expression on his face as he watches a few mindless zombies go by (but he doesn't waste his bullets; he knows they're largely harmless by now).
he only stops his steps when he thinks he hears an irregular sound, turning quickly to see where it came from with the gun pointed in that direction. he doesn't say anything, eyes only searching for what caught his attention]

The one who stole it is here. Bela. Apparently, she didn't make it to Hell.

In that case, it's my civic duty to make sure she experiences the closest thing while we're all having a reunion.

[is also following her]
And there's no way you know where you're going, unless you've got a nose for manipulative thieves.

[she stops and crosses her arms again before turning to face him]
But alright. You got me. What do you want, a prize or something? Get in line.
no subject
I needed to change. So I did.

And now we're stuck. I'd be happier to see you, but if an angel can get stuck here, we're outmatched. I don't know if you've tried to leave yet, but you can't.

[she visibly tenses at the mention of angels, though she manages just to look more irritable before taking off again]
And I'm not getting pissed off about your sudden change in attitude. Just curious. A little bit amused. Kinda impressed. After all, the last time I saw you, you were balls deep in trying to get Dean's ass out of a contract. Slight difference from then to now.

[there's enough rage in that voice there, she might even find it familiar from the day he screamed at her for her identity]
—the only thing you've got left is this. At least I know what needs to be done now.
no subject
[she doesn't balk at that rage, just smirks]
At least now you've got the drive. Too bad about the goddamn location.

[a beat]
The blood, Ruby.

Gonna need a bit more.
no subject
Back ... there, you gave me some of your blood. To beef me up a bit. It was only once, but it made me more powerful. You've—uh, you've been trying to get me to do it again.
no subject
Do I look like a fountain to you?
no subject
No.
no subject
[a step back in his direction, quieter now]
Does Dean know? You're still in one piece and you didn't mention me being dead on top of the torture thing, so I'm guessing no.
no subject
[shake of his head]
It, um. He won't find out. The Devil's here ... or was here, I don't know, but she knew, and so does this angel, Gabriel. The one from our world, Castiel, can't tell.
He can't find out.

Wow, I'm glad you've made this transition easy. Hex bags better work here. I don't really feel like turning into a giant, angelic smear.
